Business Development Manager - Business events

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of our ticketing solutions to business events in the UAE market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a deep understanding of the events industry, and strong leadership abilities. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

● Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand our client base in the UAE. 

● Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the business events sector, including conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, and seminars. 

● Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including event organisers, venue managers, and corporate clients. 

● Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing campaigns and promotional strategies to generate leads and drive sales. 

● Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for growth. 

● Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating the value proposition of our solutions. 

● Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to maximize profitability while meeting their needs and objectives. 

● Track and report on sales performance metrics, including pipeline activity, revenue forecasts, and sales results, to senior management. 

 

Qualifications: 

● Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. 

● 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the events industry (Business events, conferences, seminars etc.) or related sectors. 

● Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment. 

● Deep understanding of the events & exhibitions industry in the UAE, including key players, trends, and challenges. 

● Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a sales team.

● Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients. 

● Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies. 

● Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and delivering customer satisfaction. 

● Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office applications. 

● Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
